Running from September through June, the CHDA season offers Highland dancers multiple opportunities to perform and compete, proudly sponsoring four major competitions throughout the year.

CHDA proudly hosts a variety of competitions and workshops each year, offering opportunities for dancers of all levels to participate and showcase their skills.

You don’t need to be a CHDA member or have any affiliation to attend our events—everyone is welcome! Please note that CHDA is not affiliated with, nor does it provide funding to, any specific dance schools.

Calgary Highland Dancing Association (CHDA) Bag Pipe Practice

Pipe Practices

All levels of dancers are invited to come and dance! There will be a competition piper at the practice piping for the dancers. We are also fortunate to have two CHDA Premier dancers helping dancers run through the dances. Come and get ready for the CHDA Chinook weekend and June Classic.
