SDCCS 2018

SDCCS 2018 saw many of our dancers achieve personal milestones! Whether it was a Primary dancer dancing her first fling or a Premier dancer being in her first Choreography we celebrate all your achievements!

We would like to give a special ‘Congratulations’ to Rebecca Thow & Mellisa Carnegie who won their respective age groups in the Canadian Championship! These two lovely dancers truly exemplify the motto ‘Elevate to Excellence’!

CUSGA Bursary and Scholarship Applications

At our June competition Marg Johnson talked to the dancers about the SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES offered at the Calgary Highland Games.  As Marg mentioned many of these scholarships get very few applicants even though they are worth quite a bit of money!

Be sure to check it out!  This is a great way for a dancer to help pay for their own dancing!  You do not need to be a Premier dancer and there are options for dancers under 18 years of age and dancers over 18.

CHDA Pipe Practice

Change to Original Day and Time

The pipe practice will now be held on Saturday, May 26 from 9:15 am – 10:45 am. The location is the same at North Glenmore Park Community Centre. (see map below)

What is a Pipe Practice?

A Pipe Practice is an informal setting where dancers can dance with a bagpiper and get ready for the real deal of competing.  All levels of dancers are invited to come and dance!  You can come and stay for the whole time or leave early if your dances are done.

This events is open to all current CHDA members.
